About Jennifer
Jennifer Winkelman is certified through CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) with a CPDT-KA certificate and has been training dogs for 15+ years in obedience, behavior problems, and agility. She is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Award evaluator and STAR Puppy evaluator. The American Red Cross has also certified her in Dog First Aid. Jennifer has titles in Rally Obedience. She has the owned three certified Therapy Dogs that have visited the public library's Tail Waggin Tutor's Program and several local nursing homes and is an evaluator for Therapy Dog International. She is the founder of MidMo Waggers Dog Drill Team which performs for community events. She really enjoys working with the 4-H as the dog project leader and super-intendant of the Cole County 4-H Dog Show. She is a professional member of APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers) as well as a published author of the APDT magazine Chronicle of the Dog. She has worked with the Tipton Correctional Facility and Dogwood Animal Shelter in their Puppies for Parole Program. She writes the Canine Champion section of Sports Locker Magazine. She has certification from Do More with Your Dog as a Certified Trick Instructor, Canine Conditioning Coach, and Pedestal instructor. Jennifer also works as a Realtor for RE/MAX Jefferson City and teaches dance and violin instruction for MidMo Conservatory of Dance. She loves to snuggle up to her three dogs, four children, and husband.
